@roen5639 You can use Redan’s swords, or Dragons Rot Breath with Dragon Communion Seal and Roar Medallion. Not quite as fast but they work to clear the hill pretty quick. Hope that helps; and Good Hunting out there!

@cgunner1138 Does he just walk out into the middle and ignore you? Or does he come around the pillar? So if he just lazily rides his boar slowly out into the middle it means you lost agro while up on the ledge. And if you’re right in the corner up on the ledge he won’t recognise you’re in the arena at all and will go back to his original spawn point. If you consistently put damage on him until he’s half health he’ll continue to try to attack you through the pillar. Just make sure when the gravity attacks start you get out of the way. @@mid40sgamer he runs right out of the piller then straight at me but after a few more tries I managed to beat him before he did I’m thinking I am not getting him stuck properly that’s why he runs out but I just killed him fast and didn’t have an issue

@JFM-ur3bn Oniwa was another mounted monstrosity. I just remember jumping off a rooftop into that arena and a soon as he started riding towards me I knew that was it. Wish they included the crit animation of that fight where you hop up on the horse and turn Oniwa into a kabob. Lastly I agree with you 100%, it’s a 10/10 in my book…it’s like they gave us Elden Ring 2 instead of just a DLC. So much to see and do, it’s awesome! @oni2362 So the slow walk away means you lost agro on him, and since you’re up in that corner he doesn’t recognise you as being in the arena. He just slowly walked like he was going back to the center of the arena right? You’ll kill him, just make sure that you keep damage on him especially if you are up in the corner. Took a few tries for a couple people in the comments but they brought him down. Next time you get back in there you’ll F him up; Good Hunting!

@@mid40sgamer yeah I finished him a few try’s after that thanks for responding though I really appreciate it! I just had a hard time getting him stuck but once I did my character is pretty powerful so I got him in no time one he was

@moresomoze 100% agree although I did have fun with the Messmer fight, and the Midra, Frenzied Flame Fight as well as the Rellana fight which was prolly my favourite. Sunflower was lame, and should have had phase cut scenes if you have to fight it 3 times (like DS3 sister Frieda) instead of bubbles in the mud and then it’s back. Commander Gaius was a rough one and my least favorite just because of the speed and aggression they put behind him, and he’s on a giant boar that out runs torrent who’s like a greyhound (and then add the epic 1 hit damage he pushes out). I would have liked to see another boss like Malenia that you had to jump through a million hoops to get too (unlock consecrated snowfields, unlock the hailigtree, etc), buried in an out of the way location, and you needed to use skill and a decent build to bring her down. @randomstuff2702 The first time I walked into that arena blindly and saw him coming in the distance I thought, bah, I’ll just dodge roll this dude and melt him…..trampled, respawn. After the first 10 attempts I was like what the F this dude is harder than Messmer. If you run an arcane build and it’s dialed in you’ll smoke him with this strat. The toon I used in the video was level 140 and I didn’t have a whole lot of arcane juice backing the blood loss so it took a minute to bleed him down. Let me know how you do; Happy Hunting!

@Tha6et I don’t think it’s patched quite yet since I just did it yesterday, and it seems to be working for everyone else. So let’s figure it out. At what point does he walk around on you?

@Tha6et And just to be sure I’ll fire up one of my toons that hasn’t beat him yet and run over there and give it a shot.

@The6et Still works, just tested it out. The key to really getting him stuck it to attack the second you get into position, or he’ll start just walking back to his starting position. Then if he sees you he’ll attack your position. Hope that helps.

If you haven’t already make sure you check out the Spinning Gravity Thrust video now that you have his Remembrance, if you slap the ash of war from the Sword Lance on the Greatsword, you can basically terminator you’re through the whole DLC. @Banish_4_Cost If you’re talking about the End of Iji’s quest line, it’s not on his body. You’ll see the loot at his Anvil, and it will consist of his helmet and his Bell Bearing. If you turn that Bell Bearing into the Twin Maiden Husks at around Table Hold, you can purchase the Crest. Hope that helps! Happy Hunting!

@Kingssiegek Agreed….Zero breathing room, you enter the arena and he is all over you and doesn’t let up. I’ve beat him a few different ways at a bunch of different levels…my favourite method is impenetrable thorns (Rune Level 200), with staff of the guilty (scales sorcery with arcane, and adds to thorn damage). No boss really holds up well to a thorn build lol. I’ll give the back hand blades a shot for my next run through. Thanks for the comment! Stay safe out there, and Good Hunting!

@Avenged7xJunkie One of the worst for me as well in terms of beating traditionally. He’s speed, aggression and High damage output wrapped up with a neat little bow. As soon as you step into the arena he’s on you and he doesn’t get off, which makes him a pain to defeat traditionally (but you can make quick work of him on foot with impenetrable thorns). I’ve beat him a bunch of times at all different levels, and with all different builds and it’s by far my least favourite boss fight. Thanks for the comment, and Good Hunting out there!

+@mycelium1456 Backhand blades with Vacuum Slice works pretty well too. Pretty sure they nerfed the stagger on it but it’s still pretty wicked. You get it from siding with the Hornsent in the Lida quest line. Thanks for the comment and Good Hunting out there!

@mycelium1456 Vacuum Slice with back hand blades even with nerfed stagger is still dope and’ll still get you out of a 3v1, it’s pretty nasty.

@AnaFolkenstal Yikes, sorry to hear that Ana. Let’s not waste your Larval Tear. So like most things there is a solution. If he starts coming around to your side you can use the musical chairs option and swing around to the other side of the pillar and he’ll get stuck on the side that you were on. Not ideal, but that works as well. For future reference before using a larval tear (if you play on a console) If you go into your save game data setting and upload your Elden Ring Saved Data to the cloud (it’s almost like hard saving the game)…then if you aren’t happy with you’re larval Tear use you can download that saved data back to you’re console, and it’s like you never used the larval tear in the first place. @@mid40sgamer It's all fine. I thought I had only 2 larval tears, so I thought I'd switch back in case things don't work out. But I had more of them... (I never used them before). So, it's all safe. I managed to cheese Gaius after all. Just had to rearrange my stats a bit and weapon smith that spear to the max. Like this, I could wear him down quicker, so he didn't get to come around the corner at all. I think that was the main problem that it took too much time so he could wiggle his way out of that spot. A good video for people who do this properly and not like me... :)

@vincentdak I think the spear I was using was only +7 and my Arc was 60, so I’m sure 80 Arc and a +25 Spear lit him up like a Christmas tree. Thanks for the comment, and Good Hunting out there!

So for instance if you have 50 50 strength and dex on a weapon that scales same for both it gives less damage opposed to if you would just have 100 percent of one? So for a bleed dex build jus pump most into arcane and dex?

I like to be balanced but If I'm getting way less damage for no reason having alot into strength instead of dex besides the strength requirement and negation from strength or whatever then then I need to respec again lol

@mycelium1455 So typically I run Strength and Arcane since with certain weapons I can actually squeeze more damage out of a few different bleed builds (and I like to use dragon incantations with dragon communion seal since the seal scales incantations with Arcane instead of faith). Arcane is a must for Bleed since it governs how fast the haemorrhage status effect builds up, so I’d push it to at least 60, and if you are going high end 80. If you’re doing a Dex Arcane build, you can push it to at the least 55, and on the high end 80. Then you can just pump up your strength enough to meet the minimum requirements for whatever bleed weapons you’ using. Hope that helps, Good Hunting out there!

@@mid40sgamer OK ye I'm using mostly rivers and cold uchi or Naga but swapped for knight katana/rivers and blood backhand blades off hand the takers flame sword or whatever because if u jus have in other hand still get the health back from it lol also seal for buffs blessing boon gold vow flame so gotta have equal distribution lol

@Overlord_Actual_1 Anytime brother, I typically include the routes, especially since some areas are pretty tricky to navigate too. If you use the “Oh Mother” emote (you can grab it near the Bonny Village) on that statue that’s in the room by the back gate site of grace, it opens up a secret passage to another area as well. @joeyscanlon6282 Did you try all the other right hand slots and then cycling through with the right D pad? Never came across this specific bug, but I’d put the weapon in different right hand slots and see if that makes a difference. Or put different weapons in right hand slots and cycle them with the right D pad once they’re equipped.
